Editorial policy
Local Regional Report aims to make regional geography and place easier to understand. We write plainly, distinguish fact from interpretation and correct errors openly.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable sources and avoid presenting a plausible explanation as established fact. Where a subject is uncertain, contested or varies from place to place, we say so. Readers are welcome to flag errors through the Contact page; we review the information provided and update published material when a correction is warranted.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for relevance to the publication's subject and usefulness to readers. A partnership does not determine our conclusions, and a paid placement is not presented as independent editorial coverage.
Corrections
When we confirm a material error, we correct the text and make the change clear where appropriate. Questions about a specific passage are most useful when they identify the wording and provide a source or explanation for review.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, this is identified with the image or its caption. Illustrations are not offered as documentary evidence.
